Purple Pages

About

Purple Pages is the student produced publication for Inspire School of Arts & Sciences, founded in 2021. We are a primarily online publication, with occasional print editions. We are associated with the Yearbook/Journalism class at Inspire School of Arts and Sciences.

The Purple Pages club in Fall of 2022

All work is produced, edited, and published by students, and writers hold copyright over all content. While students work under guidance of our CTE credited advisor, Brittney Hawkins, the student staff decides all content and has the final say on what gets published*.

All editorials are the opinion of the entire editorial staff.

As scholastic journalists, we recognize our implicit biases, and all stories go through a lengthy editing process. We also recognize our responsibility of being the sole Inspire news source, and we work hard to keep our readers up-to-date and informed.

We hold a firm commitment to journalism ethics.

Purple Pages operates as an open forum for the exchange of ideas. All students are encouraged to join Purple Pages.

*Public school officials may only restrict school-sponsored media that: (a) Is obscene, libelous or slanderous; or (b) So incites pupils as to create a clear and present danger of the commission of unlawful acts on school premises or the violation of lawful school regulations, or the substantial disruption of the orderly operation of the school.
